125th anniversary of Chamarajapet

Bengaluru: The residents of Chamarajapet have decided to organize a two-day event from January 28 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Chamarajapet.

According to K Rajakumar, president, Celebration Committee of Chamarajpet-125, the scion of the erstwhile Mysuru royal family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, along with his mother Pramoda Devi and wife Trishika Kumari will participate in the event while Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the programme.

He said Chamarajapet Darshana, a 200-page book on Chamarajapet edited by historian Suresh Noona, would be released on the occasion. The other events are Karunada Vaibhava, a dance programme, will be held at 8 pm on Saturday and instrumental music by renowned drummer Deva and team would be held at 8 pm on Sunday. The event will be held at Fort High School ground.
