12 new COVID-19 cases reported from K’taka on Saturday morn; Tally now 371

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 12 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, April 18 morning, as per the bulletin released by the state health department. This brings the state’s tally up to 371.

Of the 12 new cases, Mysuru has three, Kalaburagi and Bagalkote have two each, and Vijayapura, Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi, Gadag and Mandya have each reported one case.

Patient 369, a 65-year-old man from Mysuru has a severe acute respiratory illness. Patients 365 (a 30-year-old man) and 366 (a 50-year-old man) from Mysuru are both secondary contacts of Patient 52.

The two cases from Bagalkote – Patient 367 (a 65-year-old man) and Patient 368 (a 48-year-old woman) – are also secondary contacts of a previously identified COVID-19 case (Patient 186).

Patient 360 (a 34-year-old man) and Patient 361 (a 16-year-old boy) from Kalaburagi are contacts of Patients 205 and 174 respectively.

A 60-year-old man from Vijayapura, with the designated identity Patient 362, is a contact of Patient 221.

The patient from the Hubballi-Dharwad district (363), a 63-year-old man, is a secondary contact of Patient 236.

Belagavi’s Patient 364, a 45-year-old man, is a contact of Patient 128.

A 42-year-old man from Gadag (Patient 370) is a secondary contact of Patient 304. Patient 371, a 39-year-old man from Mandya, is a contact of Patients 134 and 138.

Of the total 371 cases reported from the state, 13 are deaths and 92 are discharges.
