Bengaluru: All the MLAs and MLCs of the state should submit their property details with the state Lokayukta every year by June end. However, this year, as many as 118 MLAs and MLCs haven’t submitted their details.

RTI activist HM Venkatesh collected this details through an RTI application from the state Lokayukta office.

Among these erring people’s representatives 44 are MLCs while 74 are MLAs.

The list of MLAs and MLCs who defaulted includes KPCC president DK Shivakumar, ministers Kota Srinivas Pujari, KS Eshwarappa, BC Patil, B Sreeramulu, ST Somasekar among others.

According to the sources, the Lokayukta has already issued notices to all of them and is likely to submit a report to the Governor in this regard, as per the act.

With Lokayukta losing all its powers after the formation of ACB, the MLAs and MLCs are not taking the institutions seriously.
