Bengaluru: 103-years-old J Kameshwari, a resident of the city created a new record on Tuesday, after taking Covid 19 vaccination, by becoming the senior most person in the country to take the jab.

She arrived with her family members at the Apollo hospitals in Bannerghatta road and took the jab which was followed by a 30 minutes mandatory observation period.

Her son, 77 years old Prasad Rao also took the jab.

The hospital authorities congratulated Kameshwari and stated that the vaccine is safe and effective against Covid 19.

They appealed the public to get vaccinated in a large number to make the country Covid 19 free.

It can be recalled that on day one of the Covid 19 vaccination drive, a 102 years old city resident had also got vaccinated.
