Bengaluru: Phase 3 of Covid 19 vaccination drive started across the state on Monday. Many senior citizens above the age of 90 took jab on day one. Senior most recipient was a retired army officer who is now 102 years old.

KS Subramaniam, 102, took the jab at Columbia Asia hospital in Hebbal. A total of 1,950 persons took jab on day one.

The state government launched this phase 3 drive in all the government and private hospitals.  In government hospitals, the vaccine is free while in private hospitals it is Rs.250.
