10 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday takes Karnataka’s total to 191; One more dead

Bengaluru: Karnataka’s total COVID-19 cases rose to 191 on Thursday, April 9, after 10 new cases were reported till noon. Of the 10 new cases, one is deceased which brings the death toll up to six.

Three of the 10 cases are children- a four-year-old boy, a 9-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy. The toddler (Patient 186) is the son of Patient 165 and the 9-year-old girl (Patient 188) and the 13-year-old boy (Patient 187) are the children of Patient 165’s brother-in-law. All are residents of Bagalkote.

The details of the other cases are:

Patient 182 is a 50-year-old man from Belagavi and is the father of Patient 128.

Patient 183 is a 55-year-old man Mysuru and is a contact of Patient 104.

Patient 184 is a 68-year-old man from Mysuru and father of Patient 159.

Patient 185 is a 32-year-old man from Mandya. He was a co-passenger of Patient 78, the pharma company employee.

Patient 189 is a 19-year-old woman from Bengaluru who travelled to Delhi recently.

Patient 190 is a 27-year-old man from Bengaluru with a travel history to Delhi.

Patient 191 is a 48-year-old female from Chikkaballapura. She is the sister of Patients 19 and 94.

There are currently 157 active COVID-19 cases in Karnataka. So far, 28 people have made full recoveries and have been discharged.
