Bengaluru: The state government will provide a 1% reservation for transgenders in all the categories in the government appointments.

A notification in this regard was issued by the state government through a gazette notification on Tuesday May 18.

According to the notification, in all the government appointments, 1% of reservation will be provided for eligible candidates from the transgender communities in all the categories.

This order will be applicable for all the appointments including group A, B, C and D categories.
