Belagavi: In a remarkable achievement, Niveditha M, a BE (Civil) graduate, daughter of a group ‘D’ employee of the State government has bagged seven gold medals, the second highest at the 15th annual convocation of the Visvesvaraya Technological University here on Friday, May 27.
A meritorious student in school as well as junior college, Niveditha secured an aggregate 89.01 per cent and now bagging gold medals, has proved that financial hurdles need not hinder academic performance.
Niveditha has plans of joining join Indian Engineering Service clearing the all India exam and serve society.
Presently, working as quality control engineer with Shobha Limited, Bengaluru, she attributed her success to continuous hardwork. She said that the support and cooperation from her mother Sunanda and father Mahadev B V, a driver in Department of Pre-University Education and her college faculty, played a vital role in success.
M Gayatri Prabhu, a student of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology Women College, Mysuru, bagged the highest number of nine gold medals and Deepthi Devaraj, a student of BNM Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, secured six gold medals at the annual convocation.
