Vijayapura: “The State Government has decided to re-implement the Yashaswini Health Scheme, which was suspended. The unscientific pricing has been done due to the corporate lobby in Bengaluru. If they don’t respond to our request to the Government, we will approach the court and lodge a complaint with the Lokayukta,” the Karnataka Private Hospitals’ Association said in a statement.
Addressing a joint press conference in the City on Sunday December 18 Sangha District President Dr Ravi Chowdhary, and Former Trustee of Yashaswini Project Dr. L. H. Bidari said, “We will submit a memorandum of demands to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai during Belagavi session. We will demand for a rate revision on the resumption of Yashaswini scheme, he noted.
“If the Government does not respond, private hospitals will not apply the Yashaswini scheme and will go on a strike, he said.
