Haveri: Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday January 15 said that there are many types of truth and falsehood and if there is anyone who can tell the society such a harsh truth, it is Ambigara Chowdaiah.
Speaking after participating in the Sharana Samskruti Utsava and Jayantyutsava programme of Nijasharana Ambigara Chowdaiah’s Gurupeetha at Narasipura in the Taluk, the CM said that Ambigara Chowdaiah is a sharana who speaks the harsh truth. He is one among the true sharanas. He said that Ambigara Chowdaiah had a big role to play in keeping the vachanas alive even today.
On the issue of inclusion of Gangamata Samaja in ST category, he said, “I have met union ministers twice. I will cooperate fully to add your community to the ST category. We will release Rs. 5 Crore. I had promised to give Rs. 2 Crore earlier and I will release it too,” he said.
