Haveri: The Lokayukta Police on Thursday April 6 arrested a District Hospital doctor and an ASHA worker for allegedly accepting a bribe for sterilisation of two women.
Dr. Umesh M. Kelamani and ASHA worker Drakshayani P. Chikkanandi have been arrested.
The Lokayukta Police has arrested two women for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs. 2,000 each for sterilisation.
The doctor’s house in Hosaritti Village was also searched. The investigation is on.
