Haveri: The 86th Kannada Sahitya Sammelana will be held in Haveri city. This is the first time that the Haveri city is hosting this mega event.

A decision in this regard was taken at the executive committee meeting of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat held in Kalaburagi late on Thursday, February 6 night.

Moodbidri in the Dakshina Kannada was also in the race to host this event. But, keeping in mind the complaints that Haveri is never given a chance to host this event, it was decided to select the latter.
