Belagavi: Former Karnataka Minister Vinay Kulkarni has been released from jail on Saturday August 21.
Vinay was granted bail by a special court in Bengaluru on Thursday August 19 in a case where he was accused of destruction of evidence in the case of murdering BJP worker Yogesh Gowda in Dharwad in 2016. He had been granted bail earlier in the murder case.
Kulkarni was a minister in the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government.
It can be recalled here that Gowda’s family had accused Kulkarni of murdering him and demanded action against him. During BJP regime, the case was transferred to CBI and Kulkarni along with his relatives were arrested.
