Belagavi: The Market Police in Belagavi City arrested three youth in connection with the hanging of the effigy of Nupur Sharma on Friday June 10.

Sharma, a former spokesperson of BJP was suspended from her post over alleged statements against Prophet Mohammad.

Following the incident, her effigy was hanged on the fort road of the city. This incident had sent shock waves across the State.

All the three arrested are city residents.
