Bengaluru/Dharwad: Giving a twist to Yogieh Gowda’s death case, his wife Mallavva has accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and her brother-in-law of tormenting her. She has approached the State Women’s Commission seeking protection.
“Basavaraja Koravara and Amrutha Desai have mortgaged the title deeds of properties owned by my husband, while forcing me to contest in the by-elections following my husband’s death. Both have joined my brother-in-law Gurunath Gowda in cheating me”, an aggrieved Mallavva has stated in her complaint filed with the commission.
“BJP politicising the death of my husband has caused immense personal and emotional turmoil leading to deterioration of my health condition. Brother-in-law Gurunath Gowda is exerting tremendous pressure on me to stay aloof, obstructing my personal life”, she accused. In addition, “people known to me are being assaulted”, she mentioned in her complaint.
She has urged the state government to provide justice, while demanding the State Women’s Commission to provide adequate security.
