Dharwad: Members of district JDS held protest on Thursday demanding simplification of sand supply in the district.

The members came in a procession to DC office that started from Kalabhavan.

Their demands included providing sand at affordable price, giving sand permit to transport agencies across the state, installing same kind of GPS for sand lorries and making it compulsory in the state, giving sand supply tender under one department among others.

A memorandum was submitted to the district administration in this regard.

Former minister Hanumantappa Alkod, Corporator Altaf Kittur and other leaders were present.
