Hubballi: MLA Aravind Bellad has said that the stone-pelting at Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa’s house was a politically motivated.
Speaking to mediapersons in the City, he said stones were pelted at the house during a protest by the Banjara Community over the issue of internal reservation. Those who pelted stones were not concerned about the real reservation. Koracha, Bhovi-Vadda had demanded 03 per cent reservation. But the Government has given more reservation than that. Our Government has taken a wise step, he said.
“We have given it before the elections as per the wishes of the people. The Lingayat Community has also been given more reservation. Those who were fighting the real struggle are happy with reservation. Only Congress leaders are upset,” he said.
Speaking on asking for a ticket, he said, Eresh Anchatageri has asked for a ticket as per his wish. Aravind Bellad said that the High Command will take an appropriate decision and whoever is the rival against me, I will win by a bigger margin than last time”, he said.
