Dharawad: Congress Leader Gowdappa Gowda Patil said that the common man is reeling under the impact of rising prices under the BJP Government.

Speaking to mediapersons in the Town, he said that the Government in Centre and State were “anti-people” and indulging in price rise without doing development work. He said, “the prices of diesel, petrol and cooking gas have been continuously increasing. This has made it difficult for the common man to make a living. It is imperative to fight against this,” he said.

“The prices of many food items including daily use electricity have gone up. The price of petrol continues to rise. The Prime Minister does Mann Ki Baat once a month. Nowhere are they talking about this price hike. With this, it is a conspiracy to create unrest in the society and secure the vote bank,” he said.

The Central and State Governments should immediately curb the price rise of the common man. Otherwise, the Congress party will have to fight a fierce battle,” he warned.
