Dharwad: The raid by Income Tax officials on the residence of Energy Minister D K Shivakumar and his relatives, has been condemned by young and old Congress party leaders alike.

KPCC Vice President Veeranna Mattikatti has charged that IT raid was “politically motivated.”

Speaking to media persons in Dharwad, Mattikatti said that the BJP was misusing its power to claim supremacy and in this run, it would meet the waterloo.

The Centre is using IT, Enforcement Directorate and CBI according to its whims and fancies and those political parties which are opposing the Centre are being targeted, he charged.

Power-hungry BJP

Now, as Karnataka and Gujarat are headed for election, the power-hungry BJP is once again trying to destabilise its opponents, he said adding that BJP National President Amit Shah was indulging in hate politics. He said that the Congress would be staging protests across the state anytime.
