24-year-old jawan from Dharwad killed in Jammu bomb blast

Dharwad: In a bomb blast in Jammu, Hasansaab Himamsaab Kudhavand, a 24-year-old soldier of the Border Security Force (BSF) from Navalgund was martyred two days ago. The kin of the soldier were informed of his death on Saturday.
Navalgund tahsildar Naveen Hullur said,”Kudhavand’s body has been kept in the military base at Ladakh. As the weather conditions were not favourable, it has been decided to fly the mortal remains on Sunday. The body will reach Saidapur on Monday,” he said.

Hasansaab was working with the BSF for the last five years and was posted in Jammu. He is survived by his parents and a younger brother. The villagers in Saidapur are making arrangements to receive the mortal remains which will be laid to rest with state honours.

Meanwhile, District Minister Vinay Kulkarni expressed shock over the death of Hasansaab. “It’s a shocking news and we shall stand by the family in grief,” he said.
