Belagavi: The Congress party has launched a scathing attack against the BJP and has decided to bring to light the scandals and criminal cases of the saffron party leaders in both state and Union Cabinet.
In a press conference in Belagavi, Congress party, which was cornered by the BJP in both the Houses of the Legislature due to two DySP suicide cases has launched a campaign to expose the BJP party. The Congress leaders in Belagavi alleged that as many as 19 MPs included in the new Cabinet of Modi are facing criminal charges like attempt to murder, inciting communal riots, violation of electoral law and bribery.

KPCC observers S.G. Nanjayanamath, Parasmal Jain, Minister Balachandra Jarkiholi and State Women’s Congress Cell President Laxmi Hebbalkar at the press meet said that the saffron party leaders had no moral right to demand a CBI probe into the Ganapati suicide case as the previous the BJP government at the state had refused to hand over 13 major cases to the CBI for investigation.

S.G. Nanjayanamath further added, “The BJP wasted precious time during the recent legislature session over the DySP case without allowing the proceedings of the House to take place. BJP in the state is headed by B.S. Yeddyurappa against whom 21 cases are filed in different police stations. He was the first CM in the state to be jailed during his term in office. The BJP has no moral right to demand a CBI probe into the DySP Ganapati case when it has a leader like Yeddyurappa at its helm who had toured the state abusing BJP and its leaders weeks before he launched KJP.”
