Belagavi: Belagavi North MLA and BJP leader Anil Benake has tested positive for Covid-19. He is now under home quarantine and is said to have mild symptoms of the disease.

In a video message to his supporters, Benake, a first-time MLA informed that he first tested positive for the disease on Friday and this was confirmed in follow up tests. “That is why I didn’t celebrate my birthday this year,” he stated.

He appealed to the people to maintain the social distancing norms and wear masks without fail.
