Belagavi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that earlier it took 30 days for the Forensic Science Laboratory Reports and now it will be instructed to get the report within 15 days.

Inaugurating the new office of the City Police Commissioner on Wednesday December 28, he said that the necessary experts have been appointed in the laboratory for the same. Earlier, it used to take three months for the forensic report to arrive and at present, it takes 30 days, he informed.

“If the report comes within 15 days, it will be helpful to detect the crime,” he noted and said that action should be taken at a fast pace by arresting the culprits. Police should have close contact with peoe and thus the Police Department should maintain law and order with the cooperation of the people, he stressed.
