Belagavi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will once again hit campaign trail in the state but this time he would seek votes for BJP Chikkodi candidate Annasaheb Jolle in Chikkodi on May 3. Likewise, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will visit Belagavi to campaign for BJP candidates on May 2, as announced by BJP spokesperson MB Jirali.

Eknath Shinde will kick off his campaign by endorsing BJP candidate Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri of Canara Lok Sabha constituency at Malaprabha ground in Khanapur town at 3:30 pm. Subsequently, he will participate in a campaign event at Balekundri KH in Belagavi taluk to support Belagavi Lok Sabha constituency BJP candidate Jagadish Shettar on May 4.

As of now, Shah’s campaign agenda is confirmed only for Chikkodi constituency on May 3, stated Jirali. Thousands of participants are expected to attend Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s campaign events scheduled for May 2 and 4.
