Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has received the Earth Day Network’s ‘Star Municipal Award’.

BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta received the award. The recognition comes as a result of BBMP rejuvenating 18 lakes in the City, and the Puttenahalli Neighbourhood Lake Improvement Trust nominated the BBMP for the award.

The theme of this year’s award was ‘Restore Our Earth’.
