Minors beaten up mercilessly by group for theft

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, three minor boys were attacked by a group of people accusing them of stealing in a shop. They beat them mercilessly after stripping them. The incident took place at Hoskote, in Bengaluru Rural district on Thursday.

The police have taken up a case against the shop-keeper and his associates based on the complaint lodged by the boys’ parents on Saturday.

The incident which was videographed in a mobile phone has gone viral in the city.

Police said that three minor boys went to a shop in Hoskote on Thursday. The shop-keeper reportedly caught them stealing in the shop. He called his friends to the shop and a gang of six persons took the boys into a nearby open field. They stripped the boys and then attacked them brutally with sticks. The boys screamed for help, but in vain, as they were assaulted in an isolated place. The boys returned home after they were freed. They narrated the horrific story to their parents. The boys were taken to the hospital for treatment and gave information to the Hoskote police about the incident as well.

The police have registered a criminal case against the attackers and a search has been started to nab them. The police identified the attackers as Nooruddin, Mastan, Sameer and their friends.
