Police reported that a massive fire broke out in a residential building in the congested Burrabazar area of the city on Monday morning. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries in the incident. Around 15 fire tenders were deployed to combat the blaze, which started around 5:15 am, according to officials.
The fire originated in a residential building on Govindo Mohan Lane, adjacent to Nakhoda Masjid in the central part of the city. A senior officer from the Fire and Emergency Services department stated that the fire has been brought under control.
However, the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
