New Delhi: High Drama unfurled outside government-run RML Hospital where Kerala MP and Indian Union Muslim League leader E Ahmed was taken after he suffered a cardiac arrest in Parliament on Tuesday.
On Tuesday evening E Ahmed’s son and daughter alleged that they were not allowed to see their father in the hospital.
Dr Fausiya, daughter of the MP said that that it was completely unprofessional and unethical. “It is our right to meet our ailing father,” she said.
The 78-year-old MP died at about 2.30 am on Wednesday.
Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others were seen meeting the family members of Ahmed at the hospital.
It is said that the blood relatives of the MP were allowed to see him only after intervention from the top Congress leaders. The family had heated exchange of words with the hospital authorities, who made them wait outside for over three hours.
