New Delhi: Former External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj is no more. The very popular BJP leader breathed her last on Tuesday following a massive cardiac arrest.
However, it is her last tweet that is leaving netizens in tears.
At about 7.23 PM, Swaraj took to Twitter and thanked the Prime Minister.
“Narendramodi ji – Thank you Prime Minister. Thank you very much. I was waiting to see this day in my lifetime” her tweet read.

Swaraj had posted this tweet in context of Article 370 and as per sources, the former minister may have suffered a heart attack at about 9 PM following which she was rushed to AIIMS for treatment.
Aged 67, Swaraj gracefully stepped away from the 2019 Lok Sabha polls owing to her health issues.
As the external affairs minister (EAM) in 2014, she became immensely popular among the masses for responding to issues raised by the people. She was called the “best loved politician” by the Wall Street Journal during her stint as EAM.
An orator par excellence, she was often compared to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. At the age of 25, she became minister in Haryana cabinet and had become the CM of Delhi for a short period of time.
She also shared a special connection with Karnataka. In 1999, she was fielded by the BJP from Ballari to take on Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi. She spoke in Kannada during her campaign. Though she lost to the Congress, she managed to put up a tough fight.
