Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has strongly criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s recent remarks regarding Prime Minister Modi’s age and speculated political transitions. Adityanath denounced these assertions as desperate maneuvers by the opposition, sensing their impending defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Kejriwal had earlier insinuated that Prime Minister Modi, upon reaching 75 years of age next year, would step aside for Home Minister Amit Shah, and suggested a similar fate for Adityanath after the general elections.
Responding to Kejriwal’s claims, Adityanath emphasized the overwhelming public support for Prime Minister Modi across the nation, debunking the opposition’s attempts to discredit Modi’s leadership based on his age. Adityanath reiterated Modi’s unwavering dedication to the nation’s progress and expressed confidence in India’s trajectory under his leadership.
He highlighted the transformative initiatives under Modi’s governance, such as ‘Viksit Bharat’, ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’, and ‘Ek Bharat-Shresth Bharat’, asserting that India, under Modi’s stewardship, is poised to ascend as a global power. Adityanath affirmed Modi’s status as the revered leader of 1.4 billion Indians, expressing pride in being part of Modi’s political family.
Kejriwal’s comments, suggesting a succession plan within the BJP, were also addressed by Adityanath, who dismissed them as baseless conjecture. Adityanath reaffirmed his allegiance to Modi’s leadership and dismissed any speculation regarding future leadership transitions within the BJP.
