Ayodhya : In preparation for the upcoming festival of Chaitra Navratri, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has announced a special attire for the idol of Bhagwan Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.
From April 9 to April 17, coinciding with Ram Navami, the idol will be adorned in hand-woven khadi cotton garments embellished with real silver and gold hand block prints inspired by Vaishnav Chinha.
A video shared on the trust’s official X handle provides a glimpse of the intricate decorations being prepared for Lord Ram. Prior to this, the idol wore attire crafted from handloom cotton malmal, dyed with natural indigo and adorned with gotta flowers in anticipation of the summer season.
From first day of Chaitra Navratri, till Shri Ramnavami, the vastra of Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla Sarkar are going to be special.

The unveiling of the Ram Lalla idol occurred during the ‘Pran Pratishtha ceremony’ on January 22, which was graced by the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chaitra Navratri, a nine-day festival, culminates with Ram Navami, during which devotees observe fasting and worship the nine forms of Goddess Durga.
