Ghaziabad: In a shocking incident in Ghaziabad‘s Loni, a man arrested for the gang-rape of a 10-year-old girl faced police action when he attempted to escape custody. The accused, identified as Nazim, and his accomplice Zakir had raped the girl in a moving car under the pretext of dropping her home after a wedding procession. The survivor’s mother filed a complaint, leading to the arrest of Nazim and Zakir.
During a visit to the crime scene, Nazim snatched a constable’s pistol, prompting police to shoot him in both legs to prevent his escape. He is currently hospitalized, and the incident highlights the urgent need for stringent measures against such heinous crimes. Local MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar emphasized severe punishment for perpetrators of such crimes.
