New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after attending the mega Ram Lalla’s Pran Prathistha, visited the Kuber Tila on the Ram Janmabhoomi premises to offer prayers to Lord Shiva and unveiled a statue of “Jatayu”. The Prime Minister performed ‘jalaabhishek’ (offering the water on Shiva linga — a form of Lord Shiva). PM Modi did a ‘parikarama’ (circumambulation) of the ancient Shiva temple, located on the Kuber Tila in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which is constructing the Ram temple, is also responsible for the renovation of the Shiva Temple. PM Modi showered flower petals on workers who contributed to the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The Prime Minister, who took part in the consecration ceremony as the chief yajman earlier, said that January 22 will not just be a date in the calendar but will mark the beginning of a new era. PM Modi said that he would also like to apologise to Lord Ram for not being able to realise the temple dream earlier. “Today, I also apologise to Lord Shri Ram. There must be something lacking in our effort, sacrifice and penance that we could not do this work for so many centuries. Today the work has been completed. I believe that Lord Shri Ram will definitely forgive us today,” he said.
“All those who opposed the construction of Ram Temple, I want to appeal to them … Lord Ram is not fire, he is the source of energy … Lord Ram is not the problem, he is the solution,” PM Modi said. In a landmark address following the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, Prime Minister Narendra Modi set an ambitious and transformative vision for India, aiming to lay the foundation for the next 1,000 years. His speech, imbued with a sense of historical significance and future-oriented goals, outlined a pledge to create a “capable, grand, and divine India.”
