Lucknow: A physiotherapist, accused of stabbing his wife 18 times and fleeing the scene two weeks ago, has been apprehended by the police. The suspect, identified as Anandeshwar Agrahari, was arrested near the Krishna Nagar area of Lucknow.

The police stated that they have solved the brutal killing case, with charges registered under IPC 302 (murder) based on the victim’s brother’s complaint. The accused cited his wife’s extramarital affair and financial disputes as reasons for their frequent arguments.

Anandeshwar Agrahari confessed to cuffing his wife’s hands and legs before stabbing her 18 times with a kitchen knife on December 4. He strategically chose a time when his differently-abled elder son was sleeping and fed sedatives to his younger son, enabling his escape after the crime.

The victim, Sandhya Sahu, was discovered dead on December 5 in Lucknow’s Roshan Nagar area. The accused and the victim had a love marriage 15 years ago and were living with their two sons.
