The unfortunate event occurred on Diwali night in Jhandapur, a locality falling under the jurisdiction of the Link Road Police Station. A group of young individuals was joyously celebrating the festival by engaging in the customary practice of setting off firecrackers. Tragically, a seemingly innocent act turned fatal when one of the friends, identified as Pradeep, detonated a pipe firecracker directly at another youth named Nato, also known as Afzal, catching him completely off guard.

Despite the medical intervention, the 30-year-old Afzal, a resident of Jharkhand who had been living in Ghaziabad for the past 20-25 years, succumbed to his injuries.
