Udaipur boy tops JEE with 100% score, two from Delhi follow

New Delhi : Kalpit Veerwal from Udaipur city, Rajasthan, has topped the JEE exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), with 100 per cent scores. The results of the exam were announced on Thursday.

Veerwal scored 360 out 360 in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Mains.

Vasu Jain and Ananye Agarwal from Delhi came second and third with the identical scores of 350.

The offline test was conducted on April 2 and online on April 8 and 9 in 113 cities across the country.

Among the girls, Vrunda Nandkumar Rathi, Poorva Garg and Narayana Jeevana Reddy came first, second and third respectively.

They stood 71, 96 and 102 in overall ranking.

Among the top 1,000, 932 were boys and 68 girls.

The cut-off to appear in JEE (Advanced) has been set at 81. However, it will be different for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and physically handicapped candidates.

Apart from boys and girls, two transgender candidates also appeared in the exams, one each in online and offline.
