
Tirumala: The second richest temple in India, after the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala, is the Tirupati Tirumala Temple located in Andhra Pradesh. The temple, which had an estimated revenue of Rs 2,894 crores in the year 2018-19, has now received a donation of Rs 14 crores from two Non-Resident Indian (NRI) businessmen.
The donation to Tirupati Lord Venkateshwara was made by the businessmen on the auspicious occasion of the Varamahalakshmi puja on Friday, August 9.
The families of the businessmen first offered a puja to Lord Venkateshwara and later, handed a demand draft of Rs 14 crores over to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) special officer A V Dharma Reddy.
It can be recalled that the duo had donated Rs 13.5 crores last year for the temple’s service activities.
