25 Jayalalitha supporters have committed suicide in two days.

A court here on Saturday sentenced Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa to four years’ jail term and slapped Rs.100-crore fine on her in the Rs.66-crore disproportionate assets’ case.

Special judge John Michale D’Cunha pronounced the sentence and the hefty fine hours after he convicted 66-year-old Jayalalithaa on charges levelled against her by DMK general secretary K. Anbazhagan in 1996.
