Kolkata: The case of an Indian Air Force Corporal being run over and killed at Red Road area in Kolkata on Wednesday caused chaos in the state as it was found that the car was driven by the sons of Trinamool Congress leader Md Sohrab.

However, media reports that have been making the rounds have quoted sources and said that Ambia and Sambia Sohrab, were seen partying at a pub on Central Avenue till 9 pm on January 12. After which all of them went to a prominent club on Kona Expressway where their cell phones were switched off at around midnight.
A police officer said that in all probability all of them were at the club all night and were returning home when they knocked down the 21-year-old Coporal Abhimanyu Gaud during a rehearsal of the Republic Day parade.
Amid reports that the Sohrab siblings might have escaped abroad, to China in most probability, police have so far failed to make any arrest in the case. Sambia has an office and a home in China as he oversees exports of Chinese fruits to Bangladesh from here.
Gaud, an IAF Corporal, posted at Kolkata, was overseeing a Republic Day parade rehearsal when he was knocked down by a high-speeding Audi Q7 SUV on Wednesday morning.
The car supposedly dragged Gaud more than 20 m after hitting him and he died due to excessive blood loss.
