Madhya Pradesh: Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia has tendered resignation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

In his resignation letter, Scindia has said that it is ‘Time for him to move on’.

He has specified to Gandhi that his aim has always been to serve the people of his state and his country and that he is unable to do the same staying in Congress.

He has mentioned that to reflect and to realise the aspirations of his people he now needs to look ahead for a fresh start.

Meanwhile, as per NDTV, Scindia has got Rajya Sabha ticket from the BJP.

Scindia had met PM Narendra Modi at his official residence along with Home Minister Amit Shah.

If the faction (17 MLAs) supporting Scindia defects, the government may collapse.

The Madhya Pradesh government is in crisis after 20 ministers resigned from their posts reposing their faith in Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s leadership.
