This brave MP cop carried explosive on shoulder to save 400 school kids

Bhopal: It is mostly on celluloid that we see super human acts by cops. But, for people of a small village called Chittora in Madhya Pradesh, man in Khaki-Abhishekh Patel is no less than an action hero!

The great act of this simple cop was that he carried 10 kgs of explosive on his shoulder and ran about one kms in his sincere attempt to save 400 children from blowing up!

It is said that couple of days ago, a bomb weiging 10 kgs was found in Chittora school premises, about 170 kms from state capital Bhopal, and a constable named Abhishek Patel decided to take control of the situation.

When the bomb squad did not arrive on stipulated time and when school authorities started arguing about what best could be done next, Patel lifted the bomb and ran over one kms, to a place where there was no human settlement.

The brave act of the cop, who placed the lives of 400 children before his earned him a reward of Rs 50,000 from Chief Minister Shivaraj Chauhan.

Patel says that he was a part of a drill in the past where he had to carry a bomb and run with it.

He says that the experience of the drill helped him do the same in real life scenario.
