Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was spotted playing football with college students on Sunday, following weeks of conducting polling campaigns for Congress candidates.
The football enthusiast Mr. Reddy is seen wearing a number 9 “INDIA” jersey in a video that is going viral on social media, seemingly alluding to the Opposition bloc.
During their friendly football game at Hyderabad Central University, the 54-year-old politician was observed making tackles, clearing obstacles, and sprinting for the ball.

After the Congress emerged victorious in the Telangana Assembly elections held in December of last year, Revanth Reddy was appointed as the state’s chief minister.
Reddy, who is thought to be close to former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, has held positions in the Telugu Desam Party of N Chandrababu Naidu, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (formerly the Telangana Rashtra Samithi), the student wing of the BJP, and the former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
His surge to the spotlight began in 2021 when he was appointed as the president of Congress’ Telangana unit.
Telangana To Go For Lok Sabha Polls On May 13
The fierce campaign for Telangana’s Lok Sabha elections, which featured appearances by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and prominent members of the Congress and BRS, came to an end on Saturday.
On Monday, the state of Telangana will hold a single phase of elections to choose 17 members of the Lok Sabha. It is anticipated that more than 3.31 crore voters will cast ballots at 35,356 polling places throughout the state.
G Kishan Reddy, the president of the Telangana BJP and a union minister, is among the more than 600 candidates contesting the polls.
