Approximately two weeks ago, an individual shared an image online showing a worm discovered inside a packet of Cadbury chocolate. The purchase was made at a kiosk located in Ameerpet metro station, Hyderabad. This incident garnered significant attention across various online platforms, eliciting a range of reactions from netizens. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation promptly responded to the situation, promising swift action. Additionally, Cadbury issued a statement in response to the incident.

Recently, the same individual provided an update regarding the matter. They shared photos purporting to show the results of an analysis conducted on the chocolate by the Telangana State Food Laboratory. According to the accompanying post, the analysis report deemed the food item “unsafe” for consumption. The user emphasized the presence of white worms and webbing in the chocolate, expressing concern over the safety of such products, particularly for children. They called for accountability from FMCG companies and urged the companies involved to take responsibility for the negligence that could jeopardize public health. Furthermore, they advised caution when consuming such chocolates, especially when given to children.
