Tiruchirapalli: Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a visit to the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Tiruchirappalli, immersing himself in a spiritual experience. Adorned in traditional attire, the Prime Minister paid his respects at this revered temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The highlight of his visit was a unique encounter with ‘Andal,’ a temple elephant, which not only blessed the Prime Minister but also displayed its musical prowess by skillfully playing a mouth organ.

The atmosphere surrounding the temple was charged with excitement as a large and enthusiastic crowd gathered to welcome Prime Minister Modi along his route. Graciously acknowledging the warm reception, the Prime Minister reciprocated by waving to the cheering onlookers from the comfort of his vehicle.

The Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, a monumental structure dedicated to Sri Ranganathar, proudly stands as India’s largest temple compound. Its historical roots trace back to the Vijayanagara period (1336-1565), adding profound significance to its religious and cultural heritage.
