Tamil Nadu: A vehicle carrying an elephant which carried Dasara howdah has met with an accident. This incident occurred on the Bengaluru-Chennai National Highway near Sanamavu in Tamil Nadu. It has been reported that the driver, known as Arogya Swamy, lost his life in this accident.

Sri Champakadhama Swamy Dasara Ambari Festival in Bannerghatta took place on Tuesday, during which an elephant was brought from Trichy to carry the howdah. Following the ambari festival, a group of six men were transporting the elephant in an Eicher vehicle.

The driver, Arogyaswamy, had parked the vehicle by the roadside near Sanamavu. The vehicle suddenly went out of control and veered into the forested area. Observing this, the driver hurried to intercept the vehicle’s movement. Regrettably, the vehicle ended up running over Arogya Swamy. Upon arrival at the scene, the police utilized a crane and a JCB to extricate the vehicle.
