New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) panel led by Dr Sudhir Gupta submitted a report on Sushant Singh Rajput death case to Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday, September 28.
The panel was re-looking ito the actor’s post-mortem and viscera reports based on the 20 per cent viscera samples that were available with them.
The crucial report will help the CBI ascertain if it was a suicide or a murder.
“A detailed meeting held today during which the AIIMS doctors’ panel submitted its conclusive findings to the CBI,” reported NDTV adding that the conclusions of the AIIMS panel are being corroborated with the CBI’s findings over the last 40 days.
In a statement on Monday, the CBI, said it was conducting a professional investigation, taking into consideration all the possible aspects connected to the case.
Last week, Sushant Singh Rajput’s family’s lawyer Vikas Singh had tweeted: “Getting frustrated by the delay in CBI taking a decision to convert abetment to suicide to Murder of SSR. The Doctor who is part of AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it’s death by strangulation and not suicide.”
He had claimed that a doctor who was on the AIIMS panel had shared the findings with him.
However, after this claim, DR Sudhir Gupta had said that no conclusive opinion could be made just by seeing pictures.
According to India Today, the AIIMS report is a “conclusive finding”, however, the CBI will take a final call after going through the evidence it has collected so far.
Dr Sudhir Gupta, who led the team of doctors, said AIIMS and CBI are in agreement on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case findings but more deliberations are needed, specifically in connection to the legal aspects for a logical legal conclusion.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai flat on June 14. Though the Mumbai police had said it was a case of suicide, there was speculation that it could be murder The CBI, which is investigating the case with clearance from the Supreme Court after several twists in the case, said it was covering all angles.
