Chennai :Over hundred students staged a protest against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modis visit here to give a speech at the Madras University campus on Friday.

Students belonging to Democratic Youth Federation of India, Students Federation of India, All India Democratic Womens Association and Revolutionary Students Youth Federation staged protests in various places in the city,sources said.

They also shouted slogans against his visit contending an educational institution was not a place for any politician with a communal colour.
