New Delhi: The father of the woman involved in the infamous Gujarat snoopgate scandal has approached the Supreme Court on Tuesday May 6, seeking a restraint on the  already constituted probe by the Gujarat government and the proposed one by the Central government .

In his petition, the father of the woman has also requested for the withdrawal of incriminating material put out on the Gulail.com website. Accepting the fathers plea, the Supreme court has issued notice to Central and State Governments.

It may be recalled that  the Gujarat government, was, in a  expose’ by the  website, accused of violating the privacy of an individual, the proviisions of the Indian Telegraph Act and  the state machinery.

The Congress had alleged that the Gujarat government led by Modi paid off the woman architect’s family involved in the snoopgate to  prevent her from complaining.
