Jalpaiguri: A missionary school in West Bengal has received threat calls and letters from unknown persons asking it to be shut down.
The school has been warned that if it is not closed down, it will have to face the consequences. Police have lodged a complaint in the case.

The complaint comes even as there have been multiple attacks on churches in the country. Earlier this month, a 71-year-old nun was allegedly gangraped by dacoits in West Bengal, triggering protests and blockades of roads and railway tracks. Demonstrators even blocked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s convoy for nearly an hour when she went to meet the victim.
An under-construction church in Kaimri village in Hisar was also vandalised by a group of people and the cross at the church was replaced with an idol of Hanuman. The incident had triggered tensions in the area in Haryana.
