Kottayam (Kerala): Shone George, elder son of senior Kerala legislator P.C. George, on Saturday, March 17 sought a detailed probe into allegations that he had sexually harassed Nisha Jose, wife of Kottayam MP Jose K Mani and daughter-in-law of K M Mani (one of the most powerful political leaders of the state and head of Kerala Congress (M)), in a train.

This follows the publication of a book by Nisha that details how she was harassed by the politician’s son hailing from Kottayam while on a train travel from Kozhikode to Kottayam.

But, a day after the book was released, the allegation became viral on social media, pointing fingers at Shone George.

Shone George on Saturday gave a complaint to state police chief Loknath Behra and Kottayam district Superintendent of Police to ensure that a complaint is registered and a probe be conducted into the allegations levelled in the book.

Speaking to the media, Shone George held that his name has been maligned in the social media with lots of comments accusing him of misbehaving with the woman.

Although the book titled ‘The Other Side of Life’ does not mention Shone by name, he says that the clues dropped in the book clearly implicate him as the perpetrator.

“It’s true that I travelled in the same compartment with her and there were several top leading CPI-M leaders including legislators on the trip from Kozhikode to Kottayam. I have in my complaint asked for a detailed probe and sought action against all those who have maligned me on the social media. I am ready for a probe into it,” he said.
